ITALY COAST 2 COAST 500k
Unique and unforgettable experience through Lazio, Tuscany Umbria and Marche
This is undertaking that for many will be a challenge against both yourself and the clock, whilst for others it will be a slow journey by road, paths and dirt tracks to discover the most beautiful places you will ever encounter along the way.
However you decide to do the trip, it will be the adventure of a lifetime.
The journey begins from the Tyrrhenian coast, in Montalto Marina, then crosses though the Tuscia, the hills of Tuscany and into the green and mostly unknown park ofLake Trasimeno in Umbria. It then takes you to the beautiful cities of Perugia, Assisi and Spoleto and climbs to the peaks of the Umbrian-Marche Appennines, before heading towards the Adriatic Sea and arriving in San Benedetto del Tronto.
An unforgettable experience through Lazio, Tuscany, Umbria and Marche that will stay in your memory forever.
This is the Italy Coast 2 Coast! There is a big group departure but the ‘IC2C’ isn’t a race. The event is scheduled for September 24th 2016 on the beaches of Montalto Marina. The start time is at 8.30am , but we have also thought of those who may want to experience the cool nights of early autumn and for those people there is a start time of 22.30 on 23rd September.
The trip must be made by precisely following and completing the route (which will be delivered a few days before departure.) There will be no type of technical or medical support along the way – the traveller will have to manage completely alone … this is the challenge of the trip!
You will not have to sleep under the stars or bring food with you. There are many places to stay along the route and a list of these will be sent to you by e-mail or posted on the event’s website.
It is a ‘bike-packing’ event so the basic principle is the experience of the trip.
There will be a special prize for the best photo which the public will vote for on our FaceBook page.
Registration in the event includes the GPS tracker, the brochure (by email) which explains how to use the tracker, gives information about the various places visited , discounts available and accommodation.
